This is the intro to one of the best DS games ever created. There is also a prologue fight which takes place, but I think it is impossible to actually beat Ryu. You don't even need to do anything at all to pass this section of the game, it is more of just a way to try out the controls.

Almost all of the controls are done with the stylus on the touch screen. Pressing any button (besides start or select) will change to a defense stance and allows you to roll while you hold it down.

To walk around, tap the screen with your stylus where you want to walk to and hold it there. To attack, slash the screen in different directions. If you slash up it will make you jump.

Start or select accesses your inventory, which is used to change your far-range weapons later in the game.
